Ashton Patrick wins bronze for England at WKF World U21 Championships

Patrick takes U21 −84kg bronze as England records six top-10 finishes

Ashton Patrick won a World Bronze Medal for England in the U21 −84kg kumite at the 2026 WKF World Cadet, Junior & U21 Championships in Poland, according to the English Karate National Governing Body (EKNGB). EKNGB published the result on 19 October and credited Patrick’s club and association coaches. Read EKNGB’s results report for the federation’s full summary.

The report also lists five further EKNGB athletes in the top ten: Theo Langhorn placed fifth in male junior kata; Autumn Fry and Harriet Jenkins finished seventh in their U21 +68kg and cadet −61kg events; and Gracie Atkiss and Khemilya Ubor placed ninth in cadet −54kg and junior −66kg respectively.

A wider England team effort

EKNGB thanked its national coaches, team staff, medical officer and referees for supporting the squad in Poland. The report says Peter Bibby received a WKF 10-year pin and Rob Lambe passed his WKF Kata Judge A examination during the championships.

These results are attributed to EKNGB’s published report; KarateUK has not independently re-scored the event. Readers should use the federation’s page for any corrections or later updates.
