GKI National Competition brings junior and cadet divisions to Staines

A junior and cadet date for the autumn calendar

Goju-Ryu Karate-Do International (GKI) has listed its 2026 National Competition for Sunday 25 October at Eclipse Leisure Centre in Staines. The event page is aimed at junior and cadet competitors aged 6–17 and lists a £15 entry price. GKI event page

The published programme offers kumite, individual kata and/or team kata. GKI’s separate events calendar also lists the tournament at Eclipse Leisure Centre, with an 08:30–18:00 event window, providing an independent check on the date and venue. GKI events calendar

The event page gives a registration window of 08:30–09:00 and says competition starts at 09:15. It expects the competition to finish at 17:00, followed by presentations from 17:00 to 18:00. The page notes that lunch timing will follow the day’s schedule and may be around midday.

These details describe GKI’s own event and should not be treated as a universal format for every UK karate competition. Families should confirm the latest booking information, categories and any equipment requirements with their club or the organiser before travelling.
