JKA England sets September squad session ahead of 2027 selections

JKA England has scheduled an open squad-training session for Saturday 19 September. The organisation says the session is for members who are considering a squad trial, with advance booking required. Its separate event-tickets page also lists the session as available to book.

The published timetable splits the day between kata, from 10.30am to 12.30pm, and kumite, from 2pm to 4pm. JKA England lists the fee as £10 for kata, kumite or both. Families and athletes should use the organiser's booking route and check the current calendar before making travel plans, as the ticket page describes squad venues as varying by date.

The next listed milestone is squad selection on Saturday 10 October for the 2027 squad. According to JKA England's squad schedule, registration for that date opens on 20 September and advance booking is required.

JKA England says it is looking for junior members aged 12 to 15 who hold at least 3rd kyu, and cadet or senior members aged 16 and over who hold at least 1st Dan. The same schedule lists further squad dates in November, December and January, while saying more information about the January World Championships selections is still to come.
