KUGB Grand Slam 2 set for Walsall on 24 October

KUGB Grand Slam 2 set for Walsall on 24 October

National squad athletes head to Walsall for the second KUGB Grand Slam

The Karate Union of Great Britain (KUGB) has scheduled Grand Slam 2 for Saturday 24 October 2026 at WLV Gym, University of Wolverhampton, Magdalene Road, Walsall WS1 3TA. The event listing gives an 11am start for the day’s national squad training, with the Grand Slam itself beginning at 1pm. KUGB’s official events page lists the date, venue and timings.

The published schedule separates squad preparation from the competition programme. KUGB says all national squad members should have up-to-date licences, while referees and judges are asked to arrive at 11.15am for an 11.30am briefing. That gives officials and athletes a clear timetable before the afternoon competition starts.

Spectator entry is listed at £5, with children under five admitted free. The organiser’s calendar also identifies the venue as WLV Gym and repeats the 11am–5pm event window. Anyone planning to attend should check the KUGB listing or app for the latest access and registration instructions before travelling.

Grand Slam 2 follows the first KUGB Grand Slam of 2026, which the organisation described as a training-and-competition day for national squad members from across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The October listing does not publish a competitor list or results in advance.
