England’s U12 karateka add three medals at the WKF Youth and U21 Cup

England’s under-12 karate team returned from the 2026 WKF World Youth and U21 Cup with three bronze-medal finishes, according to results published by the English Karate National Governing Body (EKNGB).

Jack Belsey took bronze in U12 male kata, Emma Chan earned bronze in U12 female kata, and Will Pearce placed third in U12 kumite at under 35kg. EKNGB’s results notice also records two English golds and two further bronze medals in U21 events. The organisation said England finished fourth in the medals table and third overall for total medals among WKF federations.

The U12 results were part of a broader England team performance spanning youth and under-21 divisions. EKNGB’s published list also names U12 competitors who finished fifth, seventh and ninth, giving a fuller picture of the placings beyond the podium.

These are EKNGB-reported results; the article does not imply that the results represent every UK karate organisation or competition ruleset. Families can consult the governing body’s full results notice for the complete placing list.
