JKA England sets 2027 squad selections for 10 October

JKA England sets 2027 squad selections for 10 October

Selection session is next on JKA England’s squad calendar

JKA England has listed Saturday 10 October 2026 as its next squad-selection session for members interested in trying out for the 2027 squad. The organisation’s official Squad Sessions page says advance booking is mandatory and lists a £10 fee for kata, kumite or both. JKA England’s official session listing

The published timetable separates the two disciplines: kata try-outs are scheduled for 10:30–12:30, followed by kumite try-outs from 14:00–16:00. The listing does not give a venue on the page, so athletes should use the booking system or contact JKA England for the confirmed location rather than relying on an address found elsewhere.

JKA England says it is looking for junior members aged 12–15 who are 3rd kyu or above, and cadet or senior members aged 16 and over who are 1st Dan or above. Those are the eligibility bands in this notice; they should not be treated as a general UK squad-selection standard for other federations or associations.

The same page lists further squad dates on 15 November, 12 December and 17 January 2027. JKA England also notes that the selection session is for its members and that booking instructions should be followed carefully. Anyone considering the session should check the live listing before travelling, particularly for booking availability or a changed timetable. JKA England event-ticket guidance
