KUGB Wales Squad Training set for 1 November in Dowlais

Wales squad sessions scheduled for Sunday

The Karate Union of Great Britain (KUGB) has listed Wales Squad Training for Sunday 1 November 2026 at The Engine House, High Street, Dowlais, Merthyr Tydfil CF48 3HA. The federation’s event page gives the venue, date and 10:30–13:30 time window; see the official KUGB event listing for the current details.

The published timetable runs from 10:30 to 12:00 for the Junior Squad and Senior Kata Squad, followed by Senior Kumite Squad training from 12:00 to 13:30. The listing names Sensei Kevin O’Neill (6th Dan) and Sensei Simon Thompson (6th Dan) and says squad members must have their instructor’s permission and an up-to-date KUGB licence.

Who should check the listing before travelling?

This is a squad-training session, not an open public class. KUGB’s event page says attendees need instructor permission and a current licence, and asks squad members to tell their coach if they cannot attend. Those conditions matter when planning travel or confirming availability with a club instructor.

The event page does not announce a new school or dojo, so no directory listing is added from this report. Participants should use the federation page and their squad coach for any registration, attendance or timetable updates rather than relying on a static article summary.
